1. Currently the variable analogue output of the Receiver does not work. So if you go directly to a power amp, you're left with the bottom couple of steps on the digital volume control (and the risk of blowing your speakers if the volume accidentally is played a higher level).
I solved this by soldering a $5 potensiometer onto the signal cable between the Receiver and my power amp, and setting it to about 12 o clock (50%).
