Thank you for the suggestions - some of which have generated follow up questions.
I should have mentioned the following: 1) I ran Cat 6 to each of the rooms in addition to the speaker wire. 2) My client (she who must be obeyed)does not want visible amplifiers and speakers in each room - hence the decision for the centralised closet. Can I connect a classic SB to a remote amp using Cat6? I thought I needed the line out cable to connect?
