Just because your SB can associate with the wireless AP doesn't mean
that many packets are getting through.  IMHO, the SB/SC protocols were
never very robust in the face of significant packet loss.

Also remember that the power supply for the new stuff might be the
culprit, particularly if its an external "brick".  Cheap switching
supplies are notorious radiators of interference.  So when you "unplug"
make sure you unplug at the outlet.
