Depending on what the other wireless devices are, it may not be a complete comparison. The Boom requires a steady, uninterrupted stream of signal and a low signal strength may be perfectly satisfactory and a high strength does not guarantee quality. Simply repositioning the router up a bit can help a lot. A laptop computer (for example) gets data in intermittent bursts rather than a continuous stream, so will usually function better and show better signal strength than the Boom (because it measure the strength differently). If you're stuck with your router position and already on the best channel, then upgrading your router may be a good option. I get much better coverage from a recent Netgear RangeMax (not dual band) than my old Belkin router. -- Siduhe Who am I on 'LAST.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/siduhe)?
