I think it would be nice to have a tool that scans ahead in any dynamically assembled playlist and is able to more accurately and intelligently accomplish true volume leveling. I'd pay handsomely for such a tool that actually *worked*.
I agree with the OP that "smart gain" often does not get it right at all.
