Its the norm. There are two big spots where the founders are often
kicked out of the company. First is when the VCs give say 10 million
bucks, and the results are not fast enough. The VCs say that they
company needs "adult supervision" and bring in some MBAs. The founders
stay a token length, and then are kicked to the curb.

The second is when a big company acquires a small company. In this case,
the founders are nearly always looking to cash out on years of 80 hour
weeks.

Perhaps, one can only speculate. But any fair assessment has to say that
the Touch launch was a disaster. Its already at least six months late.
I'm sure Product Managers and other lead folks have been fired or
prompted to Siberia.

Its pretty clear that management screwed the pooch on this product. Its
a great product, and I think will be a success. But clearly someone
seriously underestimated the time and effort it would take to bring it
to market. Which is why they are living in a hut in Siberia.
