It looks Slim on its own didn't have the resources to develop most of the new products that have come out since the acquisition, heck it looks like Logtitech doesn't have the resources either and look at how big they are. :p
Seriously it was both a blessing and curse. I don't know if Slim was a ever a self sustaining company or if it was a slowly deflating balloon like so much of Silicon Valley, but Logitech allowed them to come out with stuff like the Boom and the Controller. I don't know if there were ever enough resources to develop Squeezeplay properly, or if the problem was in the lack of an overall plan, but it looks like they're just looking to make a soft landing at this point and see where the next destination is. Logitech, rightfully, takes a lot of the blame, but there were clearly some big oversights in developing all the products since the SB3, which the original Slim management/development team must take some culpability for. Despite all this they continue to inspire throngs of us to continue to read these forums and buy their new products. I just hope its enough to convince Logitech to keep it going. -- sander ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sander's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10737 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76286 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
