Hi, 
i see the problem, i would like to have the squeezepad simplicity, ease
of use and elegance into an iphone app. I would go for less is more
given the smaller screen estate. 
Maybe you're right and you should spare yourself the trouble, as there
is already a feature-rich iphone app. But on the other hand there could
be a market for an iphone app that concentrates on the music library
browsing and cover art presentation. I see it more complimentary to the
squeezepad app, a fast way to switch squeezeboxes on or off. Or when my
four year old is occupying my ipad ;-).
