Have been around since SLiMP3 days, currently running that, an SBG (don't hear so much about them!), SB2, 2 SB3's, a Boom, 2 radios & a controller. Have always tried to keep things simple, and where possible, wired (have cabled my house). Only ever had 2 problems, one with the SuperDateTime plugin, which is brilliant when it works, but unfortunately seems to need to be updated quite often to keep in step with server releases and changing weather feeds (neither the fault of the developer, but annoying nonetheless), and several issues always related to new releases, which probably add features I'm not going to use anyway. My painful lesson is to not bother updating without a good reason as I get grief from the family when it doesn't 'just work' as they're so used to it. Having been an early adopter and gone down the flac route, am now re-coded to apple lossless & iTunes - I know the quality of iTunes new purchases isn't as good, but the convenience of being able to download music on any machine in the house and have it available to the squeezeboxes in a very short time just works for us. As always, keeping things simple is best.
