Because there are already automotive computer solutions that are far
more versatile than any Touch would be. Most in-dash devices use larger
7" touchscreens, and even larger screens are possible if mounted
elsewhere. Most systems can incorporate not only music playback, but
GPS based navigation and mapping, display of auto gauges and sensors,
the ability to play DVDs, play games, display backup cameras, integrate
with cellphones. Syncing a library via wifi is possible, but wifi
reception from a device inside a vehicle can be poor, so ideally
requires an external antenna.
