The biggest problem I've ever had was last spring when the Avast 6 upgrade along with SB 7.5.3 and W7 sp1 threw me a curve ball with a firewall issue. Other than that I'd say my Duets have both performed flawlessly. Since I don't have a smartphone, ipod touch, or a tablet and my stereo rack is somewhat out of sight, the Duets' controller is the perfect solution for cruising through my music.
