You might be. I think we, as a collective, shouldn't. We don't want to
throw in every possible kitchen sink if it makes the product expensive
and complicated without providing tangible benefits for a significant
group of users.

I wouldn't call my lifestyle low-res :) 

In any case, I tend to prefer hi-res PCM files rather than limited-res
DSD.

It's not our job to try to promote a specific format. If there is enough
(demonstrated) demand and enough material, we should support it, but we
should not try to create a demand artificially. 

As Mnyb wrote, "the ones needing the format are the ones selling these
extra special DAC's" - I guess that group includes you, Jesus?
