You don't alleniate anyone by suggesting native DSD support it a format
among others , but you have some sort of bias on how important this
really is , I'm just trying to get why you push so hard for it as you
say you choose to embrace it ?

We all want a real hifi product I don't get why you think we want
otherwise just by not thinking DSD is important .

My thinking is that in general DSD is not needed today in its hayday it
was an integral part of SACD but once you liberated the data from the
disc there is no more need for this perculiar format . It's like a fifth
wheel , so yes it is an artificial demand to make a case for a direct
DSD path and selling products and creating an eco system for it.

We all fall for certain fads now and then if the crowd over at that
other fora is pining for this rigth know but it can't be for any
rationall reasons as it actually does not provide anything you don't
already have.

But the idea off making sure the USB output supports it is a good one
,even if John designs a fantastic DAC some people will always use
external DAC's anyway , certainly people feeling very strongly about
direct DSD they probably already bought into these very expensive DAC's
that feel they need .

You could contribute by actually describing how encapsulate a DXD or DSD
stream in flac or WAV we have a wiki it could just be short a link to an
already existing article on the subject , Julf may already know the
details as he have some sort of pro audio affiliation

John ,Triode , Erland and others may actually agree with you I don't
know I'm not at all involved in this other than that I'm a fan of the
idea my contribution will be to actually buy one ( with or without DSD
) even if I have more squeezeboxes than I ever need.
