I only used XBMC as an example of a successful community-driven software
project. I certainly wouldn't want us to tie ourselves to it in any
shape or form.

Totally agree, but I'd like to think we can ensure the hardware, drivers
and software being delivered -now- won't prevent the opportunity for an
LMS replacement -in the future- by locking us to it.
