yes, if you have lossy and flac versions of same albums/songs and the tags are the same, you'll have duplicates in your LMS library. If I was going to do this, I'd either change the album titles for the lossy extra copies (e.g., Revolver (mp3)) or I'd change the genre (and for all the kids stuff I'd put their name or something in genre (Kid Pop, Kid Rock, Kid Hip Hop). Something so that at least you have an indication with the duplicates as to which are the ones YOU want. All this said, it seems to me you have the perfect situation for the multilibrary LMS plugin. Setup the kids players to use their library and yours to use your library. This way you'll avoid duplicates, even if you copy some of your files over to their library. And when they move away from home, you can just delete their library! ;-) *Location 1:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > Squeezelite *Spares:* VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S & iPad2 (iPeng7 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Streaming - Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102002
