Let me know if it works for you - so far, it causes me much less pain than its UPnP cousin ;) Instructing a chromecast to play something else is doable in a sense that it can always be given a URL to get a stream from (when the default receiver app has been loaded). But what you probably want is the possibility to play a stream from a content provider that requires his own proprietary receiver app to be loaded in the Chromecast device. This is where the LMS model does not work as in that case, there will be no possibility to "inform" LMS of what is being played - what's happening is between the 3rd party server and the receiver app and is not 'accessible' LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
