I am now using an Allo Sparky with DAC and reclocker instead of my Squeezebox classic, and the sound is notably better. Don't know if the classic has aged, or the quality of design has improved: probably both.
But I have the classic yoked to the Sparky, so I can still watch the VU meters while listening. Best of both worlds!
