Wired has a place, that's for sure. I never do online banking/paypal
etc via wireless.
Unless your online bank doesn't use SSL, there's really no more tangible risk to doing banking over wireless than there is over wired. It's sites that don't use SSL for authentication that you really have to be concerned with.
