but...

Paul, has there been any progress on the 'fail to go into standby'
issue?

On the customer service discussion: I, like everyone else had a very
long and uncertain wait time for both my Squeezebox and Qnap, and share
the frustrations of others. The Qnap has had it's problems, but Paul's
presence here has helped to solve the problems and has shown that
solutions were under development. Perhaps a little more regular
communication to all affected customers might have helped, although I
fully understand that this may take time away from actually working on
the task of actually shipping the things. I have regularly spoken to
Stuart at Multitask by phone who seems to be a genuinly nice guy trying
to navigate though a number of problems (back order pile-up, stock
delivery delay, drive incompatibility problems), but I have at least
been able to get word-of-mouth updates.

If I have a complaint it's that the replacement for my failed
Squeezebox has not yet arrived. Again, I can understand that a
replacement is dependant on stock being in the country and I have been
informed by Stuart that, after over a two-week wait, it was due to be
shipped yesterday or two days ago. I did email Paul, who is at the
sharp end of shipping, to ask for some indication of when I could
expect it, but I have never received any communication. I guess I'm
just simmering with the frustration of having a Qnap loaded and ready
to go, but no Squeezebox!

All of that said, I'm sure we'll all be obscenely happy when the
hardware problems are sorted and the set-up works as we all want it
to.

On another note - and a little off message - I am having a few problems
with port forwarding and externally accessing the server utilities. Is
there a forum or some form of UK support for this?
