I don't think that has anything to do with not having video out. If you wanted a remote means of controlling a single, centralized Squeezebox for whole-house audio, I'd think some type of remote screen and remote repeater (probably networked or wireless) would be more useful. In all likelihood, something compact that would be mounted on a wall along with the volume control for the zone. Once you build a housing, a screen comparable to the one in the Squeezebox, plus Ethernet and/or wireless, plus a remote control, it's not hard to see that it would cost nearly as much as the current SB3.

You could address that by using the web interface. Use some sort of web client in the bedroom - a laptop, a PDA, or maybe something that lets you browse using your TV as the screen. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24620 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
