I don't think that has anything to do with not having video out.  If
you wanted a remote means of controlling a single, centralized
Squeezebox for whole-house audio, I'd think some type of remote screen
and remote repeater (probably networked or wireless) would be more
useful.  In all likelihood, something compact that would be mounted on
a wall along with the volume control for the zone.  Once you build a
housing, a screen comparable to the one in the Squeezebox, plus
Ethernet and/or wireless, plus a remote control, it's not hard to see
that it would cost nearly as much as the current SB3.

You could address that by using the web interface.  Use some sort of
web client in the bedroom - a laptop, a PDA, or maybe something that
lets you browse using your TV as the screen.
