I agree that the out of the box experience could be a little easier for the non technical, though given the way SB is advertised and targetted I'm not sure this is really impacting sales - which is what counts after all. However, there are issues with distributing other people's software. For example EAC, although free of charge, requires special permission to distribute on CD. This kind of thing (plus keeping up to date with version changes) can become a real headache to manage, plus you inevitably end up shipping people old versions of things. I know I -never- use the CDs that come with gadgets - I look to see what's on them and go download the new versions.
