And a flash interface would figure out state changes through what
means? Clairvoyance? Every interface needs to go back to the server for
state information. That's the nature of a client/server architecture.

And when you say an AJAX interface "will still look like an
afterthought", are you speaking from experience? That is, have you
tried the Nokia770 skin? IMO, the player control page looks and feels
exactly like a flash app.

I don't have any trouble with someone (not slim) building a flash app.
It sure seems to me that it would be doable given the API to both the
webserver and slim's CLI.

I'm going to back off this thread, as it's quickly digressing into the
typical religious wars.
