If you are going to write off useful technology just because it has been sometime misused, then yes, please do write it off. I would point you at some of the best Internet games around that use Flash though - go have a look over at Orisinal for example. Of course they're a not a remote control, just beautiful graphical experiences that in my mind counter the many, many misuses of Flash. I must admit I don't remember ever downloading it for FireFox or IE, but you could be right, so I'll accept that Flash may not be everywhere. I believe Nokia ship a version in some of their Symbian handset and the PSP has it too, which is a lot cheaper device. There are new companies springing up writing Flash games for cell phones, so I suspect it will become a lot more widespread. SVG is also standardised now for cell phones and Smartphones, so appearing in a lot more places. But that is to a large extent irrelevant, my real bug-bear is that they aren't proper remote controls. They are expensive smartphones or PDAs and what we're arguing about is the best way to pretend they are a proper remote control. That's why the Sonus remote blows tham all away. It was designed for purpose. I want one for my SB. -- CardinalFang You're only young once, but you can be immature forever... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CardinalFang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25321 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
