Do you get anything which might be relevant from the log files if you run Slimserver from the command line with the --d_slimproto flag enabled ? To do this (windows), stop slimserver probably from the systray icon. * Click "Start" button and then "run" menu. * Enter "cmd" in the dialogue field and press return; a command prompt window (i.e. c:/> ) should open * Enter the command at the prompt cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server * Enter the command "slim.exe" with the relevant debug option slim --d_slimproto After you've tried and failed to connect a few times, search for the slimserver.log and see if there is anything there which may help to narrow the problem down.
