Thanks for the reply, I did use the search function and as you say, nothing seems to have been written on the symptom. Yes, this also happens without the MHDT DAC inline and with analogue outs. Good point on checking the I/Cs , however they are quite new BJC LC-1s and I'm sure they are well seated.
Not having this problem reported here before at least is a good indicator that the process of elimination rests somewhere else than the SB3 wired... Which leads me back to my provider of the bandwidth or the router hardware (Westell) perhaps.
