I am surprised that the general vote seems to sway towards "no", especially since I have not read one reason that makes any logical sense. None of the suggestions point towards a quality alternative. All we need is a decent powered amp that offers: 1. Auto sensing (on/off) 2. A basic DSP tone control (bass/tone) 3. A quality built small form factor to match the Squeezbox/Receiver ...and optionally a power source so we can drop the Squeezebox's wall wart (honestly since the Receiver uses a different requirement I don't even think that's a make or break deal). You honestly think the T-Amp (anemic power) or the offerings by Audio Source (no tone/bass control; too big) are a worthy alternative? *LAUGHABLE* Logitech has been making active speakers for years, so their amp experience is well enough. Add a basic tone/bass control and release an amp-only version for their own SB's; I can't see a better alternative.
