Since talking to Logitech support I've become a bit worried that the backlit remote and the Transporter do not appear on Logitechs product list. The support geeza said they would send me out a remote, but I hold little hope of it being a backlit one (I have my fingers crossed about whether it will arrive at all... as the vagueness of the support person was not entirely reassuring).
