The Mac uses aif audio. If you have aif sounds you want to ad, just
drop them in the sounds folder. Then, you can configure them to some
degree but I've not found a way except perhaps through scripting to
set sounds for more than a couple of events such as new mail and
specific conditions in the rules of mail.
