Hi Cheryl. Front Row ... Yes, I take your point - and yes, I've read he specs for the new Mini. But I still think this is just the tip of the iceburg. Regarding audio, in ITunes I cannot get passed the license agreement. No matter how I try to click the Agree button, using Space, VO+Space, route the mouse cursor to the button and then use VO+Shift+Space, that dialog simply won't go away - only way out is a force quit. I never use Real Audio, so don't have any use for RP. VLC, I'm bnot familiar with that player. Time to go hunting I guess. I need something into which I can load my existing playlists. Something which will actually let me use the OS to browse to the playlists, as they're not stored on the internal drive. Thanks for your input.

Front row isn't only for Mac Intel as I understand it so I don't think this is a matter of software being incompatible with the powerpc. If you look at the info on the Intel Mac mini you will find that it's audio is somewhat different from that of the non- Intel Mac mini and I would imagine that's why front Row doesn't work on the older Mac minis. If I understand correctly, front row does work on non-Intel iMacs.

As for audio, I find that between windows media player and vlc and realplayer and iTunes I can access everything I need to access. Granted wmp isn't going to be upgraded any more and I'm not sure if flip is going to cover for that or not but at least at present I have no problem. People also use audacity and quicktime; maybe there are others I am leaving out.
