Cheaper? Maybe. Easier? Hardly.
BTW...yes, Apple's gone Intel, but to say that buying a PowerPC Mac
would be bad because they'll stop making software for it someeday is
sort of, umm, well, a bit premature, at least. After all, it only
stands to reason that regardless of the platform, they'll stop making
software for it someday, regardless. Fooor instance, I daresay you
wouldn't be able to get software (or much software) for the Motorla
processor-based (i.e. pre-PowerPC) Macs anymore, but I bet you could
get software that'd run on it for at least a few yars after it
stopped being made sometime in the early '90's. That was a poorly
constructed sentence.
