Well, I can't speak for the Lide 60, but the 500F that I have has a
standard driver installer. I'd recommend grabbing the latest OS X
drivers from the Canon web site. The installation of the drivers
works fine with VO, though you do have to use vo-keys+shift+space to
click on the installer buttons.
