My personal opinion is that omnipage pro x is more accurate than read
iris but read iris is less expensive. I have both and dont use readiris
much due to its constant errors that the same text done on omnipage prox
does without error. I guess one gets what one pays for. Some scanners
come with omnipage pro lite and that is upgradeable to the full version
for about $140 US, which makes it reasonably close in cost to read iris
and it does better. Vickie Weir

Ok, I've decided to get one of these scanners; Amazon has them which
makes it convenient for those of us who can't do a lot of shopping
except online. But I want to clarify a couple of things.
1. It's my understanding that this will work to some extent with the
software that comes with it and without needing omnipage or readiris.
Am I understanding this correctly?
2. Is there any place I can find a comparison of readiris and omipage
or can anybody who has used both give some feedback on this? Can
either or both of these also work with the canon lide 60?
Tia.
