Hi Shaun, Josh, David, Cara, and Others, All this really makes me want to hold onto the hierarchical view options of folders placed in the dock that Tiger supports. It's like navigating in column view under finder, starting with the folder that you aliased, but you don't have to open up the folders as you arrow through them. Basically all of the items you navigate are pointers to the subfolder and file locations, So, to use your example, if you moved the Podcasts folder into the dock (in Tiger) and navigated from there, you'd have options to show the folder in finder (the way you have to with the alias) or remove it from the dock, but you could also arrow through all the subfolders and files. If you stop at a folder, it opens in finder. If you stop at a file, it opens with the default app. So you could start your podcasts or whatever playing that way.
