Well Shane, welcome indeed. I have heard many of your podcasts via
Blind Cool Tech. Imagine that, Shane has joined us from the dark side.
Well my friend, we'll gladdly assist you.
First just navigate to the program you wish to remove and simple hit
command+delete or what you know as the backspace key. Keep in mind
that although you trashed the program, there may be preference files
etc. placed in your Library folder and generally these are in your
home folder under Library. However, they can also be in Library from
the root. If you want to discuss this in greater detail, let me know
when is a good time and I can give you a call if you'd like.
As far as highlighting text while in Text Edit or any program as far
as I recall, you can hold down the shift key while using the arrow
keys. VoiceOver will let you know what is highlighted.
