Ok, it works ow!  When I restarted Adium after deleting my account it
asked me for my username and password as if it were the first time I
was installing it.  Once I entered those, it worked.  Just wanted to
update all of you since you're so patient and helpful.  Now I have
almost all of the Mac equivalents to the Windows programs I was using
on my machine.
