The person looking for a mac shared:
"100 or so is for cable, and another 100 is for my cell phone, and finally
about 50 for my lan line. You do the math.
The above elective combination is $250 a month, 2.5 months would buy a new
mac mini. Even less time for a used mac.
Either cable or cell would get one in 6 or so months if dropped, landline
and cell is nice but not really required for basicphone access. More basic
cable packages in combination with dropping either of the phone choices is
another combination to speed the purchase. A more basic then the $50 phone
plan is something to investigate wich drops many of the bells and whistles
really not needed for pick up the phone and call functions.
Good old over the air tv with rabbit ears for a few months would not be the
end of the world, no tv for that matter would be either. Some companies
now offer cable and phone and net access for around $100 per month.
Forgive me, there is no intention to preach or scold but mention the
obvious math of the situation and the practical reality of the elective
choices now in effect.
