Hi,

• Have you tried restarting again?

• If that doesn't work, maybe you could try resetting the PRAM. Do this by restarting your Mac, and when the startup chime is chiming, press cmd-option-r-p. These keys must be pressed simultaneously as the chime is chiming. It will make another chime noise if you did it correctly. continue holding these keys down until you hear three startup chimes not counting the original one. You may wish to practice getting your fingers wrapped around the key combination. I use my thumb on the cmd-option and my left index finger on the r and right pinky on the p to perform this operation.

HTH.

Please help me. I don't know what to do and am freaking out. I was
listening to some stuff with VLC Media Player. Everything was working
fine and then, I got the System UI Server message telling me to plug
in my computer. I was in the car so couldn't do so, but I thought I
hit ok on that. Anyway, VLC wouldn't close. I tried everything. I
even tried holding the power button to force the computer to shut down
but nothing. So I removed the battery and put it back in. VLC
stopped and the Mac restarted but now I can't use the vo keys. It's
like they don't exist. I was able to get to GMail but I couldn't
click on the link to read my email. Then, when I went in Finder and
tried to hit s for Safari again, it did nothing. I thought it was
cause I accidentally switched my keyboard to Greek but it's et to
English. The only things I can do are change things like the rate,
volume and pitch etc using command option and crtl and the arrows. I
can't open things or even get to my home folder. Can someone please
tell me how to fix this?

Thanks,
Tiffanitsa, going nuts
