Wow! I figured it out. I had the system zoom off. I'm gonna disable that thing where if I hit the option key three times, it goes on and off. I really don't see it doing anything to disable the pad/mouse thing anyway. But oh my wow am I glad to have have that back! Thanks guys for trying to help me. Btw, I couldn't get that last one to work. I'm fine with the fingering, but I only heard one chime no matter what I did. Anyway, between the terrible fiasco with my other laptop and now this, I think I'm gonna pull out my bouzouki, maybe play a few songs and stay away from computers awhile. lol
