A.R. You need to have properly formatted cards in Address Book before
you can use it to address envelopes.
If you have an address book on a Windows computer, you should be able
to export the addresses as vCards which can then be imported into
Address Book using the Import command in the File menu of Address Book.
If you need to create cards from scratch, press Command-N and fill in
the relevant fields, using tab to get from field to field.
Initially, all your cards will be in one Group, labelled All. You can
sort these into separate groups by selecting Family, for instance, and
going to the File menu and pressing Return on "New Group from
Selection". These cards will not disappear from the All group.
Address Book Help has a lot more information about how to use Address
Book.
