Hi Jonathan, while the program you're in is running, go to the dock,
with vo d, or control f3 is the mac command, then find the program that
is running, and simply down arrow to keep in dock, and press enter, and
then, the program will be in the dock until you locate it, and wish to
remove it from the dock, and you can also run it from there if you
wish.  Hope this helps you.  I think the currently running program is
always on the left, but don't quote me on that.
