Are you sure you selected "Text CSV" and not "Text encoded" or something else?

"Text CSV" works. The problem was that I tried only File Type == Spreadsheets, assuming that would force the file to be opened in Calc.
If there is a list of tasks to be used in usability studies, then something like this should be on the list.
