Hello SC,

Hhmm... I'll try to address your points, but I'm afraid there's not a whole lot I can do.

This isn't something that the Community Council does. Ultimately, it's up to developers to decide what they work on. The council doesn't have any hired developers we can assign to tasks. And I don't think it's ever been the intention for the council to have developers to assign to tasks.

So, you mean, talking to makers of voice recognition software and asking them to make OOo plugins?

This is something the council could do. I don't know the best way to go about it. And like you say, these people don't seem interesting. But it doesn't hurt to ask, right? So we could ask.

I'm CC'ing this email to the council list. Let's see what the other council members think. If the council doesn't go for it, I will happily approach these ISVs myself. But then it'd be just me doing it.

Cheers,
Daniel.
