Of course *theoretically* you can do everything with this combination *plus* a server component that comes close to MS Exchange. But in fact most of the things can't be done *now*, so somebody needs to make it work. Especially SunBird is far from coming even close to the Outlook calendar, especially in the support for a professional calendar server. So it's even too early to discuss what exactly is missing, it's quite a lot. And moreover, even if every single piece of the package had all the necessary capabilities, you would need to create a solution based on them, not just to provide the components as a toolset. Please don't misunderstand me: IMHO the OOo/TBird/SunBird etc. combo makes sense and would be a good choice (if not the best) to start the development of a possible alternative to Outlook, but it's far away from being it *now*.
