Hi folks, I am a Canadian speaking and writing 4 languages and upon

"hun-spell" for the german language pack in the first place. I guess
its the same type of narrow minded jackass who came up with
"freedom-fries". Really guys, this is one blatant and frightening
piece of ignorance that does not fit a opensource project like
openoffice. Until corrected to something like "ger-spell" I shall
refuse to use open office nor will I recommend it! Regards Jaques

Hi Jaques

I don't think this is as bad as it looks at first glance.

I you check at http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/ you will see that hunspell is the successor to Myspell and if you follow the link to http://hunspell.sourceforge.net/ it looks as though the originator is of Hungarian origin.

I hope this is helpful.

Russell
