Calm down. There's been some miscommunication. You wrote, "Don't you
think that assuming the user doesn't know what they're typing is a
little insulting?" sure if you as the user was what I was referring
to. But I was referring to the DEFAULT choice. Somewhere along the
line the choice was made to default to dates. I agree it seems a
little obscure, but what the heck that's what they chose and in that
context my comment, "As assumptions go it isn't the worst possible
choice. <grin>" seems to be to be pretty innocuous.
