PDFCreator [still] behaves exactly as a printer; so I guess you would
lose active things like bookmarks.
I must say I'm puzzled why you have the problem on multiple machines,
yet no-one else seems to experience it. One idea that comes to mind
might be to set up a virtual machine (Virtualbox perhaps), recreate the
problem on that, and ship the entire virtual machine to the maintainers;
a lot of work there though potentially. Just a mad final thought :-}
Other people do have the same problem. You can read about it in forums.
I guess the affected have just stopped hoping for a fix.
