We had an interesting discussion on this at the CF Lunch today, but let me
ask all of you ...

Why does the world need AIR, anyway? What's it really good for?

We came up with two big answers at lunch:

1. Creating "sometimes online, sometimes offline" applications

2. Allowing Flash/Flex/HTML developers to create desktop applications
without having to learn other languages or OS-specific peculiarities.

What else would you guys add?

Subject: [AFFUG Discuss] Adobe AIR event at the FOX...did anyone go?

I had something come up that pretty much superseded the event.job
interview.so I didn't get to go. Did anyone else on the list make it and if
so how was it? Learn anything new or anything you want to share with us?
