Well, there have been such things in the past regarding Flash, demonstrating the great savings in network bandwidth by a switch to the RIA model. I recall a specific mention of one about 5 years ago of some institution that went to using a flash applet for something like a stock quoter or something. Turned out people were refreshing the page just to get the new info (IIRC). Switching to a Flash applet saved them millions. (Of course, one could argue that an iFrame could do the same, but this was when those were still not widely supported, I suppose.) Still, it's just one example. There are likely far better (and more) since then. Tommy, you may just want to expand your search for such to not limit just to Flex but include Flash as well. At the end of the day (and the page request cycle), a Flex app is a Flash app. /charlie

I know Flex takes a bigger hit at the beginning but since web pages have to rebuild everything on each request and Flex only needs the basic data, then over time Flex should have a much lower network usage. I'm also curious about the cross-over point, i.e. 3 normal web page requests equals the same total network usage as the flex app. Now I realize that these numbers could change a lot based on the designer and anything else that they throw in (prefetching for example) but I'm looking for a basic site comparison.
