Seems like a plan to me. You certainly have to start somewhere. The big
question is how long do the developers think it would take to shunt the
system 'as is' to CentOS 6 ?

Like so many organisations, volunteers are few and far between.

I would certainly like to be more involved but I am not a coder (more
like tinkerer - but I do have slightly better test facilities now) and
do not have experience of managing high level systems/projects like
this. They are somewhat different from the large merchant ships I used
to drive around the world all those years ago ;-)

It doesn't mean to say I can't learn, and I would be pleased to do more
than I do now, in whatever form.

So I guess that's me sticking my hand in the air then......
