The wiki page on volunteering promotes bugzilla and the lists as the places to get into if you want to be involved. But you have to read that page first. If most were like me, the Forums were always the first stop. Maybe there is a need for the only public place where help is asked for, the Forums, to have a specific forum for asking for a specific task to be done. Downside is you would need a constant checking by someone to move the "noise" to where is should be. 90%+ of users would never read the lists or look in bugzilla until the need to solve a problem. How many are registered users who would drop in semi regularly? Looking at todays stats 153 so far, how many are "real" shrug. Put it this way, its not going to costs a cracker, if it doesn't work remove the forum. As always just my POV.
